Ok, since no one else has posted the secret on how to get to the "Faithful companion here goes. From the Convictory head east till you hit the frozen riverbed. Make a left at the riverbed and head south till you get to a cave (just past the lone yetis). A co-ords 21;34 there is a steep ramp "JUST" outside the cave on your left. Head up and at the top head to the left till you get to the co-ords 22;31. Make a right and head up. On the left you will find some Rheum on your left. Head that way then a sharp right into a tunnel. It will open up to a chasm with the chocobo at 24;30.
