Patch 3.5 isn't out yet, so that's impressive that you're able to post this from the future.
You *can* fly with this Chocobo, but you need to do a quest in Ishgard in order to unlock it. Sorry that we didn't make note of that on this page before :( "I Believe I Can Fly" is the name of the quest.
