Does not need a mooch to catch. Caught 2 HQ without a mooch and 1 NQ with a mooch. All caught at 33x 20y area. No food lvl 55 Gathering 417 Percep 346. Not sure if you "need" those stats to catch them, just giving the stats for an idea of what I had catching them.
