Heavensward is meant to be an expansion to existing content, if you find it boring to play through that's on you. The problem is people try to power through it quickly and then they wonder why it's so boring, if you actually play the game for fun and you pay attention to the story then you'll probably get your money's worth of fun AND you'll have more content to play through in Heavensward on top of that, if you speed through it, chances are you'll do that with HW content as well and not enjoy any of the game.
