It's already messed up how you basically go about your business as usual after your friend and mentor is captured and you watched your friends being brutally murdered. But now you are asked to carry them like sacks of meat through a marketplace and load them onto a wagon as the wagon driver jokes, "No need to be gentle, they're not complaining"
