FINAL FANTASY XIV at Gamer Escape

Catchable only after 10am Eorzea Time.
I arrived and tried to catch one in the middle of the time around 12am and never caught one until about 10:10am.

Vampiric Tapestry is also caught with Giant Crane Flies.

Just in case anyone is confused, in order to complete the quest you need to use the duty finder and enter The sunken temple of Qarn in normal/regular mode - do not do HARD for this.

just found out i can buy a bag of Voidrake seeds from the Grand Company quartermaster, throw them in the dirt with some Gridania soil, tend it, come back a day later, harvest 2 voidrakes, and take those to any residential area materials vendor and exchange it for Floss Silk ... after trying for ever it seems to get one through woodland exploration, and finally just outright buying them i learn of this. I hope its a new feature added, and not around when i bought them :>.<

They just added new items u can exhange for them. Bearskin also, that was rare b4. They are making it easier and easier to get what u need now in FF, so the crybabies from WoW will latch on and keep suckling. :(

I was considering the tool as an alternative to using red scrip, but it seems like this is impossible to get until you are all geared up anyways because you need at least one 3-star legendary node to hit 150. Right now I have 149/150 for this, with nothing left unchecked in my gathering log other than 3-star legendary nodes (the ones locked out under 860 gathering) which I cannot reach yet. The botanist one is perfectly obtainable without any 3-star items, so this seems a little unbalanced. The only thing I can think of is that maybe I am missing a carbonizer or something like that for miner, but I'm seeing it checked in my miner log because I have already gathered it as botanist. Anyone have more insight?

I have been looking to do the same thing, forgoing the red script upgrade and just grabbing the achievement reward as it has the same stats, and also has the cool golden glow when mining. I also did the Botanist achievement and agree that the miner version is unbalanced, which is unfortunate since the achievement was bugged until just recently due to a error in the number of nodes required to be recorded in the gathering log. I tried buying some of the "Traders' Favors" to see if these unique nodes would count towards the achievement, but since they are not in the gathering log, they sadly do not. Looks like I will have to wait until I am done grinding for Folklore Tomes.... sigh.

is there some secret to beating morgawr faster? or is he just one tanky son of a...
(for the record I do own expansion and am lvl 53 at the time of this quest... ilvl 120 average, he's still tanky af.. Scholar btw.)
